    The majority of storage facilities typically offer around-the-clock security measures, such as CCTV surveillance, access control gates, and/or security guards. Mordiallock Self Storage provides a range of security measures to ensure the safety of your stored items, including 24-hour CCTV surveillance, access control gates, smoke detectors, and an alarm security system.

  • What is the process for booking a self-storage unit?

    There are several options available to book a self-storage unit, including online booking, phone booking, or booking in person.
    Decide on the size of the unit you need by making an inventory of what you want to store.
    Visit the facility to check out the unit and sign the rental agreement. You can also use our storage space calculator .
    For your convenience, you can download the form from our website (link here) and email it to us along with your identification. Pay any required fees and deposits. Move your items into the unit.

  • Can I Visit a Self Storage Facility and See the Unit Before Booking?

    Yes, you view and inspect the storage units upon appointment. Please feel free to contact us via phone or email to schedule an appointment.

  • What Can and Can’t I Store?

    Storage facilities generally have similar rules and regulations in place to ensure the safety of staff, customers, the facility, and the items stored within. You can store a wide range of items, including furniture, clothing, toys, books, antiques, garden tools, sports equipment, bicycles, surfboard, among others.

    However, at Mordiallock, certain items are prohibited from being stored, including:

    • Food or any perishable goods
    • Pets
    • Combustible or flammable materials, as well as compressed gas
    • Toxic or hazardous materials
    • Illegal substances, items, or goods, such as drugs, weapons, ammunition, counterfeit tobacco, cigarettes, or perfumes.

  • Can I sleep in my storage unit?

    While it may seem like an unusual question, it is important to note that sleeping in a storage unit is both illegal and unsafe. Despite some people attempting to use storage units as a living space, storage facilities are not authorized for residential purposes. Storage facilities are not approved for residential purposes, and therefore, overnight stays are not permitted.

  • How long is the rental period for self storage units?

    The duration for which one uses a self storage unit depends on various circumstances. For instance, some individuals may use self storage for temporary storage of their belongings during a home move or while renovating their homes, which may last only a few weeks. Others may store seasonal items such as garden furniture or holiday decorations for a few months. Meanwhile, some customers may store artwork or hobby items in their units permanently instead of keeping them in their homes.

  • What is the required notice period for a self storage unit?

    Self storage contracts can be cancelled with just one week's notice, making it a flexible option for storing your belongings.

  • How do I access my self storage unit?

    You will be given a unique access pin code to enter the building during business hours. You will need to provide your own padlock for your own self storage unit which only you will have a key to.

  • How frequently am I allowed to access my storage unit?

    You can access your unit during business hours:
